Whew! I finally got xgl+compiz running on Fedora Core 5. The eye candy is really fun to tweak and customize. This is plain xgl, not aiglx, although I'd prefer compiz to run atop aiglx. I used compiz-quinn packages. I'll post additional pics soon after pulling down some packages with yum, and installing a few superkaramba applets. I hope to capture some actual video footage after figuring out how to install xvidcap. The animations are so smooth and crisp, considering the age and component hardware of my machine.
