This is just a screenie of my working desktop. Take note, that I have 6
virtual desktop's, and 4 of them are in use.
1 is my Main desktop, the one this screenie is taken from.
2 is for compiling stuff (svn) on a regular basis, and uploading the
packages, and other regular stuff
3 is currently burning a DVD
and 6 is all my audio stuff, music player, volume, and svn updating of
media player
It's not as busy as it can be, but looking at my main desktop, you'll
see a lot more happening than first meets the eye. The icons on the
bottom panel (other than the first 3 from the left), are all OPEN
applications. The icons on the desktop are minimised applications. As
you can see I have 6 firefox windows open... One is my main window, I
work a lot in that, another is a hiking research window, another is to
do with eating acorns, and research in to returning my Seagate HDD.
Another is my developing window, where I am building a PHP form wizard
application (also see the Database file open), and the last window is
for my Web design for scouts (separate from the web dev I am doing for
them). In the main Firefox window, I have ~45 tabs open... :/
There is of course, a lot more in the picture, but a picture is worth a
1000 words... Part of the reason for taking this screenie, is to give
people an idea of what my computer looks like, at a typical time, and
also so people can see how beautiful Linux can look... ;-)
