A new incomplete component to interface with MS Excel

A new Excel interface component is available in the following pages. It is delivered under MPL 1.1.
Web page for download Here.
It is still incomplete but there are enough functionalities to: - read and write excel workbooks and worksheets, navigate in them, - store and retrieve values and formulas in cells, - change the formatting (color).

Cactus Jukebox 0.4stable

Cactus Jukebox 0.4stable has been released. MPlayer playback engine is now ready for everyday use. MPlayer opens various new platforms to Cactus Jukebox.

API Manager, a system tool for Windows

API Manager is a Spyxx-like Windows program to examine and manipulate other windows. Its new release has been ported from Delphi to Lazarus. You can use it to inspect the internal properties of a window, and - most important - you can change most of them. The program can also list windows, processes and system information. There are translations for German and English, and the source is available under GPL.

ElevateDB Now Available for Lazarus (Win32/WinCE)

Elevate Software is pleased to announce that ElevateDB 2.02 has been released, and now includes support for Lazarus 0.924 or higher. Initially this includes Win32 and WinCE support, but will be expanded to include Linux support shortly. Prices start at $99.

Lazarus 0.9.26 released

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the 0.9.26 release. This release is based on fpc 2.2.2.
This release can be downloaded from the sourceforge download page.
Highlights / Major changes: - The LCL now uses Unicode strings UTF-8 encoded on all platforms. There are docs, tools and functions to help converting old code. - The LCL internal graphic system was rewritten for more consistency, more flexibility, better Delphi compatibility, icon support, native image lists. - Lazarus now runs native under Mac OS X using the 'carbon' widgetset. - The IDE designer now allows to connect form components, like databases on TDataModule.
This time there were more than 3900 improvements and bug fixes in 11 months. For comparison: 0.9.24 was about half the changes in 8 months.

LRS Explorer

Hello everybody,
I made a very usefull tool for lazarus. If you want to add an image in a lazarus ressource file (*.lrs). You must use "lazres". But it isn't easy to use it. So I made a little tool to add, delete, view ressource in a lrs file. This tools is a graphical tools. I made it to add some picture directly in my software, but you can add all ressource file.

SI_Browser, a simple DICOM viewer for Linux

cavalliinformatica.com presents:
SI_Browser is a simplified viewer of DICOM images.
In a simple standalone program it allow the most simple operations to viewing, it don't require installation nor others support files (as framework, library, ect.).
Its fundamental functionality are:
opening images; previous image (present in the current folder); next image (present in the current folder); zoom in, zoom out; video player.
It can be execute on all PCs with Linux and GTK2. SI_Browser is also a "Portable Software".

PHP Toolkit now available

The PHP Toolkit for Pascal is now available for download.
With the Toolkit you can:
- Automatically convert Delphi or Lazarus forms (.dfm/.lfm) to PHP code (.php) that uses the open-source VCL for PHP class library. This is a simple way to preserve some of the forms' visual layout in a Web app.
- Configure Lazarus for use as a PHP IDE, including syntax checking of PHP and JavaScript code and jumping to syntax errors.
- Create PHP Extension libraries from Pascal code using units from PHP4Delphi and the Toolkit's ExtPZAPI unit. This is an easy way to add non-UI Pascal code to a PHP Web app. The Pascal library can be called by and call back to your PHP code. Supports Windows, OS X and Linux, so you're not limited to deploying your extensions on a Windows server.

It took a very long time and the hard work of at least a small group of people who decided in August 2005 to continue with the ZEOS Database Objects Library to provide support to the community and try to develop the next stable version. Since the withdraw of the founders of the ZEOS Library the future of the project was not quite clear. But with the support of a quite fast growing user community and their contributions to the project we kept it alive ... and are stable, again!

SVN Local Repository Monitor - Realeas 0.8

Subversion Local Repository Monitor is a little tool that helps those unlucky people (like me) that are forced to use SVN Repositories on a network file share and who would like to easily monitor their team commit activity. Other well known commit monitors for Subversion do not allow this kind of repository.

New release of ported Orpheus controls

A much-improved release of the ported Orpheus controls is now available:

Improvements include:
Virtual list box control now finally works. If you need a list box with a header row and tabbed columns (even right-aligned tabs), this control is for you. The table (grid) control's scroll bars now function correctly. Other bug fixes and workarounds found.
Tested on win32, carbon and gtk.

Andorra 2D - Version 0.4 released

SQLitePassDbo Package 0.35 is now available

Release 0.35 of the SQLitePassDbo components is now ready for download.
It gives access to databases created with Kexi, SQLite Administrator, SQLite Expert, SQLite4Fpc or our own custom SQLite databases...

lNet 0.6.2 released with critical bugs fixed

lNet version 0.6.2 has just been released. This is a bugfix release containing very critical fixed specifically in regards to the new 0.6.x features: SSL and Session support. I'd urge anyone using lNet 0.6.x to upgrade as soon as possible. You can download the new version here.
Short list of bugfixes:
Fixed sessions bug in visual forms (would crash lazarus if you removed assigned sessions from form) Fixed session sharing between multiple components Fixed SSL sending of big chunks Fixed SSL receiving on windows/visual Fixed SMTP and FTP OnSuccess/OnFailure logic (internal state-stack bug) Fixed TLSocket.Creator to act as per-documentation Fixed some example bugs, mostly on FTP visual
1 through 4 were very critical bugs. I apologize, they were oversights mostly due to lack of testing. You can find more info about the bugs and how they got fixed at the lNet blog.
I'm sorry for the problems anyone might have because of these bugs, and hope it didn't completely undermine any confidence you might have in the library.

Cactus Jukebox 0.4beta

Cactus Jukbeox 0.4beta has been released. Since this release Cactus Jukebox uses the famous MPlayer as a playback engine by default. Although FMOD, which caused some troubles in the past, is still available as an option in settings menu.
