Miranda Cosgrove Signs With Columbia Records
Columbia Records has signed tween TV
sensation Miranda Cosgrove, star of Nickelodeon’s convergent mega-hit
iCarly to be a recording artist, as part of the global partnership between
Nick and the Sony Music Label Group. First up for Cosgrove is the release
of iCarly iPlaylist, the eagerly awaited album that also will feature songs
inspired by the popular live-action TEENick series, among other exclusive
tracks from multi-platinum popular artists, including Natasha Bedingfield
and Avril Lavigne. The album will be available at retail and online on
Tuesday, June 10.
‘Late Show with David Letterman’ Purchases SSL C200 Console
Source: FlickrThe Late Show with David Letterman on CBS purchased a Solid State Logic C296 Digital Production Console, which represents the company's largest C200 Series console. The new console will handle all of the music production requirements for the show and will be installed in the Ed Sullivan Theater this summer, replacing the SSL analog SL 4000 G Series console that has served the show for 15 years.
