DotNetNuke (DNN)

An automated content management system specifically designed to be used in Intranet and Internet deployments written entirely in ASP.NET.

Something of a misnomer when talking about microsoft-based open source projects, DNN is nonetheless a robust content management application with a vibrant user community. Like most CMS, DNN is extendable through the installation of custom modules, for which there are a large amount of free and paid modules.

The application itself depends on the .NET framework, SQL Server, and IIS and is written in VisualBasic .NET, which makes it simple to customize. Most technical problems are addressed online at the discussion group hosted at http://forums.asp.net/90/vbnvbnvbn.aspx
