Snom rolls out another HD Voice offering - klarVOICE

snom technology AG, developer and manufacturer of IP phones for the commercial and residential markets, announced today the next generation of voice: snom klarVOICE. This wideband handset, which can be adapted to all snom VoIP telephones, captures more than twice the spectrum of voice frequencies than standard phones enabling phone conversations with greater clarity and richness.

MagicJack VoIP Phone Service Climbs VoIP Ranks

Note:  I have a friend that is using this device.  It does work pretty well.  My main question is if this growth and model will be a sustainable business model.  I will be watching close too see develops in the future or any signs of trouble. 
 
Telecommunications firm YMax is on track to reach 550,000 subscribers by June through its MagicJack VoIP phone and will begin selling the device through QVC next month, said company founder Dan Borislow.  The VoIP newcomer is selling roughly 8,000 MagicJacks a day, Borislow said. Each $40 device comes with a year’s worth of unlimited nationwide calling (inbound and outbound).

Replacing the standard office phone, the E20 combines CD quality audio with DVD quality video to deliver the desktop video phone for businesses at an affordable price. With the 10.6 inch LCD widescreen, users can clearly see facial expressions and read body language.

The iPhone's limits

For the second time in a year, Apple has slashed the price of its coveted iPhone by $200. The basic model now sells for less than the cost of an iPod Classic (not counting the $70 monthly charge for using AT&T's mobile phone and data network, which eventually makes the purchase more expensive than an iMac).

Toshiba Takes the Wraps off New IP Phone Series

Toshiba has introduced its new IP5000-series IP phones, offering a new design, backlit displays and a built-in Gigabit Ethernet switch that supports high-speed network connections directly to the desktop for enhanced performance and sound quality. The IP5000-series telephones are compatible with the Toshiba Strata CIX family of IP business communications systems, Toshiba’s IP User Mobility feature, and also can function as supported IP stations for Toshiba’s Video Communication Solution.

Snom Brings VoIP DECT Phone To U.S.

German VoIP telephone maker Snom on Monday released its latest IP DECT handset in North America, joining a handful of other device makers and telecommunications companies bringing the phones based on the wireless standard to America.  DECT, short for digital enhanced cordless telecommunications, has been widely used in Europe, but has yet to take firm hold stateside as an alternative to IP voice over Wi-Fi. Snom joins the ranks of others like Polycom, Nortel, Avaya and Aastra that have brought DECT-based devices to North America.
