This project is dedicated to increasing awareness for open-source, high-definition sound effects, sound libraries, and royalty-free sound effects cds.
What is a high definition sound effect?
High definition sound effects are usually recorded in 96 kHz/24 bit and usually delivered at an output of 48 kHz/24 bit to provide the most reasonable compromise between magnitude while minimizing the amount of disk space used. Its an equilibrium between the two. Even though new standards support higher sample rates as mentioned above, it is not common for even high budget projects to work at this level of quality.
