5TeraByte 3.5-inch Hard Drive coming within the Next 2 years!

5TeraByte 3.5-inch Hard Drive coming within the Next 2 years!

5 TB 3.5 inch hard drives maybe coming soon…in the next 2 years or so.

Hitachi has pledged to release a 5TB 3.5in hard drive within two years, and it claims two of the drives will boast enough capacity to store everything in your brain.

According to a report by Nikkei Net, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies will use Current-Perpendicular-to-Plane Giant Magnetoresistance (CPP-GMR) magnetc read heads to achieve the aim. This, the firm claims, will allow its drives to store 1TB of data in every square inch of the recording surface.

22-Foot Tall Giant Robot made out of Styrofoam!

22-Foot Tall Giant Robot made out of Styrofoam!

Yes, perhaps making robot sculptures out of styrofoam may have some merits such as in 3D-movie making but you do get to pass a lot of time in a hurry.

Michael Salter is something of a pack rat. Instead of letting all that clutter go to waste as some might, however, he puts it to good use — or into making robot sculptures.

You may remember these adorable Styrobots from a little while ago. His new creation is a little bigger; it stands over 22 feet high and needs a wooden, skeletal armature to keep it standing as well as moving vans to transport it. The smaller Styrobots at its feet keep people from getting too close and accidentally knocking it over.

Big Ass Digital Wall Clock!

Big Ass Digital Wall Clock!

Here’s a giant digital wall clock that will let you substitute an LCD TV.

The Big Time Digital Wall Clock is probably one of the more futuristic and striking looking clocks available. Being 100 x 50cms in size you will soon notice the time and probably take a second look as this would not look out of place on the wall next to the big screen in NASA.

Made from lightweight materials, flat and flexible is is easy to hang in your office or bedroom. You can even choose the colour to match the colour scheme of your room.

Nokia E71 Confirmed for Production!

Nokia E71 Confirmed for Production!

Nokia E71 looks so much like Blackberry 8830 I’ve got here, perhaps slimmer. If the price is right, Nokia E71 might not be a bad choice.

The E71 is one of the thinnest phones we’ve ever seen exit the doors of the Finnish giant, at 10mm thick, but there’s still plenty of room for everything you’d expect out of an E series phone like WiFi, HSDPA, A-GPS and even a 3.2 megapixel camera and a front facing camera for video chat — the main place the E71 differs on specs from its new E66 sibling is the 2.36-inch QVGA screen, just a fraction of an inch smaller. The E71 even manages to squeeze in extra battery, with 20 days of standby, 10.5 hours of GSM talk or 4.5 hours of 3G talk. There’s 110MB of built-in storage and a microSD slot if you grow out of that, and the same business / personal switcher of the E66.

DIY - Build Your own Studio Apartment!

DIY - Build Your own Studio Apartment!

If this is true and anything like I bought from IKEA, you better watch out as the apartment WILL fall apart after 6 months of use.  (Exceptions: If it’s overpriced, it’s not gonna break.)

The furniture giant from Sweden is going viral with this giant box seen on Brooklyn streets promoting a new store in the NYC Borough. Build your own studio apartment with all the wooden pegs and tiny steel Allen wrenches you can shake a Lingonberry soda at!
