Tomorrow evening is the GlassFish Community BOF at JavaOne (BOF-7613, 7:55pm, Wed, May 9th, 2007, Esplanade 305). We are planning to make it a fairly interactive meeting. We will start the meeting by listing what people want to cover, so bring your ideas; so far, my thinking is to cover these topics: |
• Recap of last year
&bull Future Roadmap
• What's in the GlassFish Community
• Ericsson Contribution
• What works and what does not in today's GlassFish
• Initial GlassFish Champion Awards
We will bring extra t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. See you tomorrow!

One of today's keynote announcement was that Ericsson is contributing their SIP Servlet container to the GlassFish community [1], [2], [3]. We welcome Ericsson to the community and we look forward to making this available to the wider internet community. This is the first open source SIP Servlet implementation and has the potential of having a big impact on the availability of communication services in the internet. Check Sreeram's blog. The actual project site is SailFin, including a live code repostory. |

Do you think you have a cool application, extension, or any use of any of the GlassFish Technologies? Come and show them off at GlassFish Day! Send us a description of what you want to show, ideally as a screencast. We are reserving one demo station to show them but we may expand the program if we get many good contributions. If you are planning to travel to JavaOne, or if you are local, you may gain an opportunity to show them in person; if not, we will find a way to show your out-of-town screencasts... and we may add a prize for the best-in-show. |
If you are interested, please contact Alexis (alexis.mp at sun dot com).

If you are attending JavaOne 2007 and are interested in GlassFish you should plan to arrive early and attend GlassFish Day on Monday, May 7th, 2007 ([1], [2]). The details are still shimmering but we plan to have 4 sessions: Present, Customers, GF Ecosystem and Future. |
See the GlassFish Wiki page for the latest information. Also check out the JavaOne home page and the latest J1 prospect.
