Krita is KDE’s KOffice painting and image editing program.

It’s most similar to GIMP, however it has a more consolidated interface. GIMP however is a more mature project and includes advanced functionality that Krita has yet to include.

On the other hand, Krita includes features that GIMP doesn’t include, such as colorspace support for various colorspaces, including CMYK. Through KPart Krita can also integrate other projects, such as text fields in images.
