Learning is the cognative process of internalizing concepts and the mastering of skills. It’s also the process of learning to learn. It’s what you do to acquire knowledge. It empowers you to be able to make more accurate assessements; to distinguish between subtle differences in closely related things.
Alright, that’s what learning is suppose to be. Learning is not getting programmed to perform to a predetermined level of competancy. It’s not what most teachers are promoting—an animal called OBE, or outcome based training!
Learning is most effective when it’s unforced, goal driven—learning with a purpose, but at it’s best when it’s forbidden! It’s then that humans earnestly desire knowledge!
This rich-media series is designed for high school students and home schoolers, who are taking one-year (two-term) high school algebra 1 course and preparing to take the high school algebra 2 thereafter.
