pabbrev is probably the best package for emacs ever. It intelligently guesses what I want to write based on what I've written before, and in a low-profile way that doesn't get in the way of editing.

So the Prolog mode that comes with Emacs sucks. Well, here is a better alternative, with all the features you would expect, including syntax highlighting, auto indent, and full interaction with an inferior Prolog process.
