We’re working hard to fully integrate your new Linux desktop into your existing Microsoft Active Directory Infrastructure, and we’re almost there. Once we’re finished you’ll be able to control your Linux desktop’s security, system components such as firewall, deliver printers and manage and maintain your user’s desktop experience through existing Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO).
We aim to deliver this functionality to you for free with no changes to your existing infrastructure, no costly redesign and no worrying schema extensions; just a few small extensions to your Linux desktop.
Once we’re through with that little lot we’ll extend the capabilities of your existing Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) Inventory and software distribution infrastructure to include your new AD managed Linux desktop. It’s just so exciting!
