Tested with Debian Lenny using a cable made with a Prolific PL2303 USB-serial converter.
Wammu can retrieve contacts from the SIM card but not those stored in the phone's memory. That's all you can do.

SMSs send works fine but SMSs are not saved in the phone memory.
Making calls works fine but Gammu seems to forget the + that prefix an international number format. So the contact phone numbers in int.format cannot be called.
Perhaps another connection type will work better...
