The Java Telnet Daemon is an embeddable telnet daemon written in Java.

The codebase has been adopted for commercial products like Cisco EDI and Sun Microsystems StorEdge.

There is also a newer version that has been adapted for OSGi (see SVN repository) and that provides support for a SSH2 Listener.

Ganymed-SSH-2-for-Java

Ganymed SSH-2 for Java is a library which implements the SSH2 protocol in pure Java.

OpenSSH

OpenSSH is a SSH protocol suite.

The OpenSSH suite includes the ssh program which replaces rlogin and telnet, scp which replaces rcp, and sftp which replaces ftp. Also included is sshd which is the server side of the package, and the other basic utilities like ssh-add, ssh-agent, ssh-keysign, ssh-keyscan, ssh-keygen and sftp-server.

OpenSSH supports SSH protocol versions 1.3, 1.5, and 2.0.

MacSSH

MacSSH is a Macintosh open-source Telnet Terminal emulation application with SSH (version 2) protocol support released under the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation.

MacSSH is a Mac port of LSH.

Net::SSH

Net::SSH is a pure-Ruby implementation of the SSH2 client protocol.

Net::SSH Features:
  • User authentication via explicit username/password, or using a public-key/private-key pair.
  • Port forwarding, both from the local host to a remote computer via the remote host, and from the remote host to the local host.
  • Execute processes on the remote machine, both interactively and non-interactively (“batch”).

Portable OpenSSH

Portable OpenSSH is a Unix/Linux port of OpenBSD’s excellent OpenSSH, a full implementation of the SSH1 and SSH2 protocols.
