Aptana recap: PHP support is coming soon!

The Aptana development team has spent the past week working to get support for PHP implemented as part of the Milestone 9 release.

New Release

Earlier this week, Build 16069 was promoted to “nightly” status. This build contains a very early beta of our Code Assist for PHP. As we roll out new “nightly” builds over the next week or so, you’ll see our PHP Code Assist (and other PHP support) become more robust.

Community Buzz

We know that many of you are looking forward to the release of Milestone 9 with PHP support, so earlier this week, we put out a call for volunteers to help us complete Code Assist for PHP functions. We received a tremendous response and have had a great team of volunteers working hard to help us out with Code Assist. In the coming week, as we release additional “nightly” builds, you’ll start to see the result of their hard work in the form of more descriptive tooltips in Code Assist.

Next Week

Next week, we’ll work on putting on the finishing touches on PHP support in Milestone 9. We hope to have a solid beta ready for release some time next week.
