Hi All

Hope I can explain this so you may be able to help. I've done this the old fashioned way but does anyone know if there is software to do the same?

Take a, say, 4x6" daytime landscape photo. I've then physically cut it into 1/2" vertical strips. I've then separated these strips with 1/2" mirror image of the same photo and joined them together alternatley making a 12x4 photo. I'm doing this for an art project.

What I have tried so far is setting up a template in one of my 'draw' programs of a 4x6 card. I've then set up a grid of rectangle(4x1/2").
Ive then used the transparency setting and overlaced the photo I want onto the 'grid'
Hope this is making sense so far.... I've then repeated the same process with the 'mirror image' onto another 'grid'. Now I have 2 photo's, both with rectangular 'grids' (12 on each) over them.

What I want to do next is this. Lets say we number the main photo grid 1 to 12 and the 'mirror' 13 to 25. On one master picture I would like the picture to have this sequence ..... 1 - 13 - 2 - 14 - 3 - 15 and so on until all the 'grid' sections have been used up on ONE piture.

Does that make sense?

If anyone knows of a way of doing this that works I would be very grateful.
Thanking you in advance

Andy

Subtree merging and you

Very interesting alternative to `git submodule`, especially in "vendor branch" type scenarios. The other project is merged into yours at a specified prefix and can be updated with a simple `git pull`.

Hey There, Internet Marketing has been very good to me and my family for the past 3 years now…

I told my boss to go ** himself and walk away from my $60.000 a year job which I hated and never looked back…No more BS with waking up early to fight traffic to get to a sh*t job that I hated….

Now I’m at home with my kids only working about 3 or 4 hours a day on my Internet Marketing Business No more stress, no more boss, no more BS…

Life is GOOD….

Question: (Illustrator) randomize layer "depth" of shatter brush objects

Hello guys and women...

I am creating a layout where I have made 3 strokes with 'shatter brush'. Each stroke has it's 'shatter brush objects'. There are a stoke with green, red and blue. When I make theese, they are on top of each other... The colors aren't random in depth, if you know what I mean?

How can I randomize the depth of the objects, so the it doesn't seem that it's 3 objects on top of each other, but hundreds of objects interfeering eachother...?

Thank you ...
.
Sorry for my very bad english... ;(
