Wiki Words are words that serve as links to other pages in the wiki. In most wikis, these pages need not even have been created by anyone.
Wiki Words take on various formats in various wikis. Some wikis use CamelCased words to indicate a link to a new page. Others, like MediaWiki use square brackets [ ] instead.
Wiki words on SWiK are surrounded by double square-bracket characters [[ and ]] for top level pages or double curly-brace characters {{ and }} for topical pages.
Non “Wiki Word” links on SWiK are handled differently, using the Textile syntax of "linktitle":http://link.address/, or simply the standard for HTML links, <a href='http://link.address'>linktitle</a>.
