Video Editing

TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works boasts an abundance of editing functionality to satisfy most basic to intermediate editing needs, using its simple yet intuitive user interface. Two editing modes – Normal Mode for basic edits on input-edit-output paths, and Timeline Mode for multilayer, advanced video customization and granular editing – enable you to find the one best suited to your workflow needs.

Import and output 4K video in a high-efficiency long-GOP format for playback on consumer devices and software, significantly decreasing file sizes while maintaining excellent picture quality.

The new “Output Preview” function gives you direct access to the final output preview window, providing direct access to its final preview window. This is particularly beneficial when creating videos aimed at specific video standards; as its settings will dynamically adapt according to that standard – helping ensure that any non-standard file output accidentally. Furthermore, you’re still able to utilize all the great settings offered by this program!

Cut multiple scenes simultaneously by simply clicking and dragging start and end range markers, providing an efficient method for quickly cutting unwanted footage from movies. Furthermore, using the Split Marker feature you can divide one marker into up to 100 segments for further editing.

Set keypoints on the timeline to animate each clip by controlling its width, height, position, rotation and opacity. Also possible are mosaic, blur and color mask effects applied over an image clip and setting a transition effect between that clip and its source image.

TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works features a recently introduced Text Animation feature to add higher-quality visual expression through text transformations to video footage. Over 100 templates from simple word display to scrolling words are included with customizable display styles available to select.

Audio Editing

TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works supports audio editing in addition to video editing features, enabling you to edit imported videos or even create new ones using an intuitive graphical user interface without needing special knowledge of sound production.

Text Animation adds higher-quality visual expression to video footage with its wide array of animated text template types such as character, word unit display or random display. Furthermore, using Easing’s acceleration/deceleration function you can increase combinations even further!

TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works takes an approach that goes beyond other products which only cut at the GOP (Group of Pictures) level and cuts scenes at a frame-level, guaranteeing you will only cut frames you need when cutting. Furthermore, searching any scene quickly with just the click of right mouse button while viewing quick-scrolling thumbnail strip; or use Smart Scene Search feature which automatically moves playhead towards closest scene change point will save time and effort when searching for scenes of interest.

We have enhanced the Picture-in-Picture feature so you can perform various functions on the preview screen, such as title inserting or mask filter operation. Furthermore, we have introduced a crop mode so you can freely position or resize clips while working in Timeline editing mode.

A newly implemented Source Monitor allows you to see the original source movie/picture separately from its Timeline preview, making HDR editing or color correction more manageable. Furthermore, we’ve implemented saving clip properties and file histories directly into project folders, along with an improved Project Options window for easier accessing settings.

As part of our efforts to meet high-resolution 4K and 8K output needs, we have implemented H.265/HEVC as the next-generation codec which offers much larger images at the same compression rate compared to conventional H.264/AVC compression methods. Furthermore, we have enhanced HEVC encoding performance as well as added numerous functions like MKV support and advanced video filters.

Timeline Editing

TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 7 has enhanced its timeline features to offer more complex editing features, enabling easier video cutting and adding filters, text animation with over 100 templates for enhanced visual expression when creating videos, as well as improved text animation features for easier text animation editing.

Timeline view allows you to group multiple clips together and easily manage them as one unit, which makes editing multiple clips with various filter settings much simpler. Furthermore, these groups can even be exported as single files for easy distribution.

New to Timeline view, an option allowing you to apply a blur or color mask over selected clips allows you to easily add one and modify its shape, color and target area as needed. Furthermore, keypoints allow for audio compression of individual clips.

Now, in the Timeline view, handles and clips can be moved or resized with just a mouse click. Furthermore, start and end range markers of clips can be snapped to the edges of layers or the Seekbar line for easier modification via Timeline Edit function.

Timeline Mode offers various editing techniques from simple to advanced with layered video and photos, making it simple for you to craft unique slideshows featuring fade-in/out effects, scrolling features, ruby texts, etc.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is an industry standard in image capture and playback that provides more precise control of brightness and color than conventional formats. TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works’ HDR output settings let you specify your target monitor’s maximum luminance, minimum luminance, MAXCLL and MAXFALL values as well as its RGB color space – as well as selecting from among several bit depth options with log curve support for more accurate adjustment.

Output Format Conversion

With TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works, you can use various output formats to craft a finished product tailored specifically to your individual requirements. From Blu-ray (BDMV and BDAV) discs and mobile devices (BDAV and SD) to YouTube or other online video sharing sites like Vimeo or VEVO – choosing an output template makes the process fast and straightforward. Additionally to standard video formats like MPEG-1/2, AVI and WMV, this program supports numerous other formats including H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, XAVC S and WebM. You can even output to multiple formats simultaneously using our Batch Encode Tool!

The program can automatically analyze files at importation to select an optimal template, such as detecting multi-structured videos containing video and audio streams or videos with dynamic resolution changes midway through. Furthermore, output formats include MKV, MP4, FLV, HEVC and MOV depending on its analysis results.

As opposed to other video editing programs, the program maintains edit history across almost every step of processing and editing, making editing effortless when multiple operations or edits must be performed at different times in your project. This feature is particularly helpful if repeated operations or edits need to be carried out in stages.

With the newly implemented crop mode, you have full freedom to move and position clips while they’re in the preview window. Resizing and positioning clips is also supported, making it possible to easily create picture-in-picture effects.

To increase encoding speed, the program uses NVIDIA’s “NVENC” when running on a 600-series or later GPU (Kepler core generation), which supports high-speed hardware H.264/AVC encoding as well as AMD Media SDK HEVC decoding/encoding, helping reduce CPU utilization during video processing.
