Build or select an existing lot and turn it into the ideal home for your Sims to live. Select from various home styles that suit both your tastes and those of your family, before customizing its exterior with new color schemes and landscaping ideas to make it your own!
The Sims 4 offers an abundance of customization and detailing options when it comes to designing houses and apartments, but for an enhanced and personalized experience try adding the Dream Home Decorator Game Pack. This pack adds a new interior decorating career that allows players to personalize a client’s space while reaping rewards for their efforts.
Once they accept a gig, players can either choose to travel directly or let their Sim go directly. When arriving at their client’s homes, the game puts players into construction mode to start renovating both interior and exterior spaces in their home – taking before-and-after pictures to share at an end-of-gig reveal event.
Once their remodel is complete, the player can return to their lot and summon their client(s). As clients react differently – from happiness to displeasure – players can use a new panel in construction mode to access decorating patterns, object selection tools and even a hammer in order to remove anything that doesn’t meet client taste.
The Sims 4 is an entertaining and immersive simulation game suitable for gamers of all types. The storyline is captivating, the character designs diverse and appealing and there is a great variety of expansion packs, worlds and games available for you to explore. While violence in The Sims 4 may only include cartoon-esque jokes such as electrocution by plugs or kitchen fire deaths – thus rendering it unsuitable for younger gamers.

If you haven’t done so already, take some time to explore some of the worlds brought forth in The Sims 4 expansion packs and game updates. Each one will present you with new neighborhoods to discover as well as community lots where you can build unique houses of your own design.
Each expansion or game update of The Sims 4 adds new neighborhoods and gameplay features, such as swimming pools, genealogy systems in Family, toddler life stages for toddler Sims, basements in Build Mode, career-themed neighborhoods like Get to Work, gender customization in Create-a-Sim and Create-a-Sim Create-a-Sims, the Neighborhood Stories gameplay storytelling system, terrain manipulation tools and a new community lot called Horse Ranch.
Magnolia Promenade, for instance, is an area with four lots created specifically to appeal to Sims interested in shopping and retail. Furthermore, Get to Work expansion pack adds Del Sol Valley which contains career-related businesses along with special office space dedicated to home-working Sims.
Granite Falls, another new neighborhood, is designed for vacationing Sims only and can only stay here for 7 days. This neighborhood features a hermit’s house to sleep in as well as camping grounds to experience nature first-hand and four fishing spots with rare fish to catch.
Additionally, the Get to Work expansion pack introduces Forgotten Hollow as a new neighborhood on the edge of town – ideal for vampire Sims due to its dark atmosphere and slower sun rising and setting times.
If you haven’t visited one of the new neighborhoods yet, Manage Households allows you to load the world and then click on any house to modify its residents. From there you can decide whether or not evict them, merge households, or move them elsewhere (but please be aware that lots cost money). In addition, clicking any mailbox and selecting Recent Neighborhood Stories provides an in-depth account of their lives and interactions with you and other players in that neighborhood.
